The much-awaited Moto G85 5G is said to be the successor of the heavily popular Moto G84 5G, which was launched earlier this year. Leaks surfaced about the design and key specifications. Well, the Moto G85 5G will likely be refurbished in terms of design and specifications.
Design and Display
The leaked renders show that the Moto G85 will arrive with a curved display and slim, uniform bezels—a great upgrade over its predecessor's flat and thicker bezels. The front panel should also have a centered hole-punch camera. The gadget will come in a striking blue color with a matte texture over the rear panel. On the right is the power and volume button, and at the bottom is a USB Type-C charging port.
Camera System
The biggest thing about the Moto G85 5G is this dual rear camera setup. Now, the primary is said to be a 50 MP unit with OIS, which counts a lot for getting improved photography experience for the user. The design of the camera module is different from the last iteration. Now, it has two individual circular units, sitting in parallel to each other in a vertical position, where the LED flash unit is elliptical in shape.
Performance and Specifications
Under the hood, the Moto G85 5G will be powered by the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3, based on proof from the latest Geekbench scores, where it appeared under the codename 'malmo.' This device will host 8GB of RAM, a new standard for the smooth flow of any kind of multitasking process. All of that will likely operate on top of an Android 14-based UI for users to get the benefit of all the modern features and security updates.
Pricing and Availability
This phone has accidentally surfaced on a European retail website that tipped the Moto G85 5G to be actually priced around EUR 300, which is around INR 27,100. A set date has not been announced, but the frequency of leaks and reports surely suggests a release is imminent.
Conclusion
The Moto G85 5G does seem like it will be a really good update, with its curved display and slim bezels, plus a nice dual camera setup and the new Snapdragon processor. With Motorola's continued fine-tuning of its line of mid-range devices, the Moto G85 5G sits well for a critically interested consumer base during its time of introduction.
