Samsung’s Galaxy S series may be heading for one of its most interesting changes in years. A fresh leak suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro could bring some of the most important camera features from the Galaxy S27 Ultra, while offering a more compact design and leaving out the S Pen.
The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to sit between the regular Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Instead of being just another bigger-screen variant, the phone could become a new premium option for users who want high-end specifications without moving all the way to the Ultra model.
The biggest talking point is the rear camera setup. The Galaxy S27 Pro may use the same primary and ultra-wide camera sensors as the Galaxy S27 Ultra. If this turns out to be accurate, Samsung could give the Pro model a major photography upgrade compared with the standard and Plus variants. These sensors are also expected to be new, which means the phone may not simply rely on older camera hardware.
However, the Pro model may not copy the Ultra completely. The telephoto camera is expected to be different from the one on the Galaxy S27 Ultra. This could become the main area where Samsung keeps a gap between the two models. The Ultra may still remain the best choice for users who want the strongest zoom performance and the full flagship camera package.
Another important detail is the screen size. The Galaxy S27 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.47-inch OLED display. That would make it slightly larger than the regular Galaxy S27 but smaller than the Plus and Ultra models. This size could appeal to users who want a premium phone that is easier to hold and carry.
Samsung has followed a familiar three-model Galaxy S lineup for years: regular, Plus and Ultra. The addition of a Pro model would change that structure. It would also bring Samsung closer to a strategy where buyers can choose a premium phone without necessarily choosing the largest device.
The missing S Pen could be a practical decision. The stylus requires internal space, and removing it may help Samsung make the device more compact or use that space for other hardware. It also helps keep the Ultra model special, as S Pen support has become one of its key features.
For Indian buyers, the Galaxy S27 Pro could be a very interesting option. Ultra models are powerful, but they are also expensive and large. A Pro model with strong cameras, a premium display and a slightly smaller body could attract users who want flagship performance but do not need a stylus.
Still, this is an early leak, so nothing should be treated as final. Samsung may change the camera setup, display size, pricing or even the final branding before launch. The telephoto camera details are especially important because they could decide whether the Galaxy S27 Pro feels like a true Ultra alternative or just a stronger Plus model.
If the leak proves accurate, the Galaxy S27 Pro could become the most balanced model in Samsung’s next flagship lineup. It may not be the biggest or the most expensive, but it could deliver the features that many users actually want: premium cameras, a manageable size and flagship performance.
